Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) order to General Atomics (GA) under the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N68335-11-C-0003. This order is for the procurement of one Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Landbased Unit (LBU), Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE), Installation and Checkout (INCO) spares required for deadload testing. The system also includes integration, assembly, test and checkout and technical data.THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued under the sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: General Atomics is the designer and developer of the AAG system and is the only source possessing the requisite knowledge, engineering expertise, and technical data necessary to provide the requirement. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
