Description
This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes. This is not a Request For Proposal and a formal solicitation is not available at this time. Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking vendors that can provide submarine interior decking removal and installation services. Required services include the removal and installation of electric grade matting, wear resistant deck tile, carpeting, cosmetic polymeric deck covering (PRC), vinyl tile and associated underlayment and flashing. In addition, the contractor shall have the ability to access HAZMAT identification, removal and disposal services. Contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens in order to work onboard naval nuclear submarines. In addition, a secret facilities clearance is required for the company and as a minimum, personnel working onboard must have a confidential clearance. Work to be accomplished at Naval Submarine Base, Point Loma, San Diego, CA. SWRMC is contemplating an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity firm-fixed price contract. Interested contractors should submit a capabilities statement (not to exceed five pages) that demonstrates their capability to perform the services described herein. The capabilities statement shall include company name, address, small business status (small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned), and point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm. The capabilities statement should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to your firm, period of performance, contract type, contract amount, a description of the relevant corporate experience gained, and a customer POC. Responses should be received no later than 11 May 2012, 1100 (PST).
