- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Conax Technologies LLC, Buffalo, NY for 150 each Cable Assembly Panel to Base, Thermocouple, P/N 11-0063-001, NSN: 4920-01-551-4452 and 31 each Bare Wire Ceiling gland Assembly, P/N 11-0087-001, NSN: 4920-01-551-4456. These items are for the V-22 Double vacuum Debulk Tool and are designed to maintain vacuum pressure around electrical wires at 500 degrees F in autoclaves used to cure carbon fiber composite structural parts for aviation applications. The design and manufacture of the Cable Assembly Panel to Base Thermocouple and the gland Assembly Bare Wire Sealing is proprietary to Conax Technologies. Technical data is not available to design or manufacture comparable items. The parts are specifically designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of the Double Vacuum Debulk Tools specific application. Determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
