Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. NAICS: 561730 This requirement is being issued as 100% SDVOSB Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Offerors MUST be registered in VetBiz.gov as a SDVOSB in order to be eligible for this award. SBA Size Standard: $7.0 Millon The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at VA Southern Nevada Health Care System (VANHCS) main campus in a manner that will maintain healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance in accordance with the PWS. Approximate ground area measurements are: 66 acres, improved grounds, including buildings, parking lots and landscaping; and, 88 acres, unimproved grounds. All work performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions, and commercial practices. Services shall be provided at the VANLS, located at 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086. The solicitation will be issued on/about 15 May 2012 and is projected to close on/about 30 May 2012. The VA will issue the solicitation electronically and accessed at the Federal Bursiness Opportunities website: www.fbo.gov. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the site for any documentation, information, etc. regarding this requirement. A site visit is scheduled for Friday, May 18, 2012 at 9 am PST. Offerors are urged to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent the information is reasonably obtainable. Contractors are responsible for arranging and funding all expenses associated with the site visit. Please RSVP to the POC specified below if you plan on attending the site visit. Site/reporting instructions will be provided to the respondees prior to that time. IAW FAR 52.204-7, prospective vendors are registered in the CCR database prior to contract award. Lack of CCR registration shall be a determining factor for contract award.
