Description
SCOPE OF WORK DISTRIBUTED ANTENNAE SYSTEM 575-12-104B VA Medical Center Grand Junction, Colorado This construction project is located at the VA Medical Center, Grand Junction, Colorado. It is a design/build contract. The vendor shall design and install a distributed antennae system in Buildings 1, 20 and 34. The vendor shall complete the requirements of the contract as follows: Medical Center radio frequency survey: the vendor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary to determine and develop the base line requirements for coverage of the following: AT&T 4G Verizon 4G Sprint T-Mobil 150MHz paging 450 MHz paging 450 MHz radio 800 MHz radio 700 MHz public safety radio 800 MHz public safety radio 900 MHz paging UHF VHF System design: the vendor shall provide a spatial design incorporating system components as coax cabling, fiber optic cable, in-building antennae, amplifier, fiber distribution units, remote distribution units, cabinets, uninterrupted power supplies, conduit and/or electrical power circuitry. The procedure of design shall be submitted to the Medical Center in no less than three (3) phases: 35%, 75% and 100%. During the design, specifications will be developed utilizing the VA Master Specifications. All equipment and procedures shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer's Representative for review and approval prior to installation. The design drawings and specifications shall be determined as construction documents after approval by the Medical Center. System installation: The vendor shall supply all labor, materials and equipment as determined by the approved construction drawings and specifications. All installation procedures by the vendor and its subcontractors shall comply with the Infection Control Standards of the Medical Center. Installation shall maintain the integrity of smoke and fire barriers. Head end equipment shall be located in 1426-1. System testing: The vendor shall provide all personnel and equipment required to verify and certify the installation of the distributed antennae system. System Maintenance: The vendor shall provide two (2) annual preventive maintenance and calibration procedures upon completion of the one (1) year warranty period. General All work shall be accordance with plans and specifications. Coordinate all work through the COR of Facilities Management Service. Contractor is responsible for all cleanups and refuse disposal throughout the construction period. Trades involving carpentry and electrical shall be utilized for the removal and installation of materials. Davis-Bacon wage rates to apply. The delivery date for this contract shall be one-hundred eighty (180) days from Notice to Proceed. Accreditation and certification (C&A) is NOT required. All design and work will conform to the current edition of the VA Master Specifications and VA Design Standards as published at the following site: www.cfm.va.gov, FCC, IBC 2009, NFPA, and NEC building codes and standards.
