Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 2250 Leestown Rd., Lexington, KY has a requirement for Architect Engineer Services. This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) is being utilized to identify if there are any CVE verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or any Veteran Owned Small Businesses that can provide the following services, so that a set-aside determination can be made. This is not a request for SF330s only a request for information for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The firm shall be located within a 300 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, 2250 Leestown Rd., Lexington, KY. The firm shall be listed in On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) and Contractor Central Registration (CCR) under the NAICS code 541310 or 541330. Prime contractor should have registered architects and/or engineers as members of the firm. The design disciplines anticipated include architectural, civil, industrial hygiene, electrical and mechanical. There are three (3) Architect/ Engineer projects, 596-12-105 (Design for the demolition of seven (7) buildings: one two (2) story building with 24,000 GSF; three (3) buildings ranging from 4,100 to 5,100 GSF and three (3) garages associated with the buildings); 596-12-106 (Design for the demolition of three (3) buildings: (one building is approximately 796 GSF and has a wet well that is about 16 feet below grade and a connected below grade 399 GSF wet well and ground gasoline storage tank; a 1,049 GSF former pump house and a 1,475 GSF former greenhouse and multipurpose building). 596-12-107 (Water Reservoir). The consultant shall provide complete submittals for each project for each design phase. The end product will be three (3) distinct bid documents detailing the work to be accomplished. The design shall include the proper relocation or removal of all associated site utilities, as necessary. The design shall include proper engineered fill and landscaping for future use of the site without removal of any uncontrolled fill. Some of the buildings have historic significance. The construction cost range for the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
