- Attached is the Draft CLIN structure for informational purposes. Attached is the Performance Work Statement for informational purposes. Attached is Depot Repair Manual for informational purposes. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with a base year and four (4) option years on a full and open competition basis. The prospective contract will be for the receipt, inspection, disassembly, repair and/or modification, assembly, testing, and preservation of the T56-A-427 Propulsion System, modules, Quick Engine Change Kit/Assemblies (QECK/A), and components. The Contractor will provide facilities, labor, material, and arrange for outside services, as required, to return items to a Ready For Issue (RFI) condition. The three major modules of the engine to be maintained and repaired under this contract will be the Navy's T56-A-427 Power Sections, Reduction Gear Assemblies, and Torquemeters. The Draft Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) structure, Performance Work Statement (PWS) and repair manuals are attached for informational purposes. The Naval Air Systems Command also intends to hold an Industry Day for the purposes of communicating with the contractor community concerning PMA-231's requirements for the receipt, inspection, disassembly, repair and/or modification, assembly, testing, and preservation of the T56-A-427 Propulsion System, modules, Quick Engine Change Kit/Assemblies (QECK/A), and components. The Industry Day will serve as an open forum in which to baseline and communicate program objectives and requirements to industry and collect industry feedback collectively or individually for Government consideration prior to release of a formal request for proposal. Contractors interested in a one-on-one meeting with the Government during the Industry Day shall request such a meeting when responding to this synopsis. The Industry Day is scheduled for Wednesday, 23 May 2012 from 0900 to 1700 at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, located at 44219 Airport Road, California, MD, 20619. The Naval Air Systems Command may amend this synopsis prior to the 23 May 2012 Industry Day to post a complete draft solicitation.
