Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS Equipment Service and Calibration Service This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis for non-personal services. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers at this time. No solicitation is being issued at this time; while a formal solicitation may be issued at a later date, this notice does not commit the government to ultimately award a contract. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the Government to pay for any response or preparation cost. Submission of information will be reproduced and submitted to the 532nd Commodities Maintenance Group program office for review and will be used to develop the acquisition strategy. 1. Purpose. Market Research is being conducted to seek qualified contractors, with the skills, knowledge, and resources required to complete this effort. The following information is provided to identify potential providers with capabilities to provide services in support of 309th Commodities Maintenance Group/532nd CMMXS production capability, which requires the contractor to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to inspect, service, repair (as necessary), calibrate and certify Sulzer Metco and Praxair brand thermal spray items located at Hill AFB, Utah. An annual calibration of the control consoles shall be done to ensure that all recordable data is correct. The equipment is vital to ensure all thermal sprayed aircraft components receive the correct amount of coating. The equipment services all components of landing gear and power systems on the following aircraft: A-10, F-4, F-16, F35, C-19, C-130, KC 135, B-1 and B-2. Proprietary data (e.g. drawings, manuals and all copyrighted data) supporting this equipment is not owned by the government. The government has purchased a limited "right of use" of the data but cannot disseminate it to others without the owner's permission. 2. Other Information The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310. Respondents to this announcement should indicate whether they are a small business, 8(a) concern, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or historically black college or university (HBCU) or minority institution (MI) (as defined by the clause at DFARS 252.226-7000). The Government requests interested parties to submit a brief statement of current capability to perform these services and a letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources should provide the following information: (1) company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business; (2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contracts (not to exceed five) to include brief description, names, POCs, phone numbers, value & type of contract, and period of performance; and (3) information about your company and why you think you can perform this service. Please limit your submissions to ten pages. Timeline for release of a solicitation is in process and there is no availability date for release at this time.
