Description
Statement of Work On behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), the Program Support Center (PSC) intends to award a sole source contract to the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center for the provision of room blocking, meeting room space and audio-visual support for a period of 1 week beginning June 3, 2012 through June 9, 2012. ACF will host a tribal/Native American grantee conference for approximately 600 attendees on June 6-8, 2012 that will allow its tribal/Native American grantees to come together to hear from, and receive training from, ACF program offices. Four additional offices will be having pre-meetings on June 4-5, 2012. The program requires a room that will fit 600 attendees, 8 breakout rooms to accommodate 50-100 people per room; microphones, projectors and screens, special room set up for each room; 1 office space; and table exhibit space. Several hotels in Washington, DC area that were thought large enough to meet the program's requirements were contacted. The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center was the only hotel that could meet the location, meeting time, meeting space and room block requirements. The proposed requirement is for services the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The Government intends to acquire the service as a commercial item using simplified acquisition procedures. PSC anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price contract. Interested parties may identify their interest by responding to the requirement. Interested parties must submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the point of contact identified below not later than 1:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 26, 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A Statement of Work is available and attached to this notice. Responses must be received by 1:00 PM EDT on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Point of Contact: Tashia L. Corbeil, Contracts Specialist, Tashia.Corbeil@psc.hhs.gov or 301.443.7608. Email your questions to Tashia Corbeil at Tashia.Corbeil@psc.hhs.gov.
