Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement Contract N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell Boeing Joint Program Office on an ‘other than full and open' competitive basis to address reliability, maintainability and readiness driven issues. The goal is to improve service life while resolving Foreign Object Damage (FOD) ingestion through clearance hole eliminating excessive wear on bushings and joint on the V-22 Osprey. Bell Boeing has the knowledge and expertise based on their established design parameters and performance requirements for the Anti-drive Assembly Installation Hardware improvement for the joint services advanced vertical lift aircraft (V-22). Engineering and production incorporation is being completed under a Cost Reduction Incentive (CRI) and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) already under contract. This effort is a continuance for the procurement of retrofit kits for the improved Anti-drive Assembly Installation Hardware to capture economy of scale savings. Bell-Boeing is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort.
