- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercialitem/services: production, delivery of approximately 5,100,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen(LN2), Grade L, to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and occasional maintenance/repairof equipment. NOTE: this estimate reflects the total LN2 requirement over a contemplated1-year and 11-month performance period (a 1-year base and one 11-month option period isanticipated). Applicable performance standard: Nitrogen CGA- G-10.1 Grade L. The plannedRFP will be in support of JPL. NASA/KSC contemplates award of one fixed-pricerequirements contract resulting from the planned RFP for the following performanceperiod: base period - 8/1/12-7/31/13, option period 1 - 8/1/13-6/30/14. The anticipatedrelease date of RFP NNK12432592R is on or about 5/15/2012 with an anticipated proposaldue date of on or about 6/14/2012. A site visit of the JPL facilities is scheduled for interested prospective offerors on5/21/2012 at 10:00AM - 1:00PM (JPL local time, date and time are subject to change). Amaximum of 2 observers will be permitted per offeror. Team members, subcontractors,partners, and consultants all count toward the maximum of 2 observers. All offerorsinterested in attending the site visit must submit an email expressing their interest toNicole Rivera at the email address listed below not later than 9:00AM E.S.T on 5/15/2012.The email must also include the following information for each individual who plans toattend: name, organization/company name, title, U.S. Citizen (yes or no). Furtherinformation regarding the site visit will be disseminated upon receipt of interestedofferors' email.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 325120 and 1,000 employees, respectively.All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for thisacquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/pub_library/Omb.html. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application.
