Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Informatics and Analytics (OIA) Office of Training Strategy VA-701-12-I-0198 SOURCES SOUGHT My VeHU Campus Phase III Development 1.INTRODUCTION This Sources Sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is currently conducting market research to locate qualified, experienced, and interested potential sources. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking interested sources (contractors) for a near-future solicitation and procurement for the Office of Informatics & Analytics (OIA). At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore please do not request a copy of the solicitation. 2.BACKGROUND The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Informatics and Analytics (OIA) initiated the development and launch of a unique, engaging and immersive web based learning community titled MyVeHU Campus (MVC). Launched in March of 2011, MVC serves to introduce and guide VA and VHA staff thru the many online resources available from past VA eHealth University (VeHU) Face-to-Face (F2F) conferences and provides an engaging, educational, and accessible online learning resource. VeHU is VA's annual training conference that provides education on the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and related clinical software developed by VHA. Every year VeHU highlights innovations towards patient care through training classes on VHA's clinical informatics products. This contracting initiative shall provide VHA OIA and the MVC learning community with the necessary development resources to expand its services and capabilities to reach and deliver live, interactive, and on-demand training and education to an ever expanding audience in near real time and at a greatly reduced cost. MVC membership is currently at over 6000 and will continue to grow in membership and value as our education and training initiatives expand. 3.OBJECTIVES The contractor shall provide technical and creative development and support services. The contractor shall provide support for developing new capabilities within MVC. The contractor shall add on functional modules to the system which will seamlessly integrate into MVC. The new functional modules will be built for desktop and HTML5 configurations. The new functional modules include: curriculum generator and manager, training video upload, CEU capabilities, VISN report, email modification, account transfer, site survey, Talent Management System (TMS) communication, WBT topic "Like" feature, custom MVC bookmark icon, and global logout. The contractor shall provide all production equipment, required technical staff, and development of scripts for recording and producing a series of VA assigned online hosts which will be integrated into both modalities of the MVC. 4.SUBMITTAL INFORMATION Contractors having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements should submit a response of no more than 15 pages in length, single spaced, 12 point font minimum. The Government will not review any other data or attachments that are in excess to the 10 pages. Companies should provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate their capability to fulfill these requirements. Interested parties shall furnish the following information: 1.Company name and address 2.Company point of contact name, telephone number, and email address 3.Company business size and status (i.e. Large Business, Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Women Owned Small Business, etc.) - the number of years in business, and affiliate information 4.If the company holds a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract list the GSA Contract Number and relevant SINS 5.Capabilities/Qualifications: A written response providing clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capacity to fulfill this requirement. Description of the capabilities, qualifications, and skills the company possesses to perform services described in the scope of work. 6.Past Experience: Provide a brief summary of the company history relative to similar requirements and the following information may be provided (maximum of three similar projects for which the responder was a prime or subcontractor): a.Name, address, and value of each project b.Prime contract type - Firm Fixed Price or Time and Materials c.Name, telephone, and address of the owner of each project d.A description of each project and why it is relevant to this requirement e.Company's role and services provided for each project It is requested that the above information be provided no later than Tuesday, May 1st, at 4:00PM EST.
