Cargo consists of ammunition of various classes (1.1 - 1.4). Two vessels will only be considered if offered in bloc from one offer or and loaded/discharged back to back. Vessel(s) must have a laden air draft less than 135 feet at Mean High Water (MHW) in order to sail under bridges in the Oakland Bay area and to safely navigate passage to MOTCO. Vessel(s) will be carrying 1252 TEU's. Containers weigh in at no more than 40,000 lbs per container. The load port is Chinhae, Korea and the discharge port is MOTCO, California. In order to meet these requirements, the Ship Operations & Chartering Division, Chartering Branch, N1033, plans to issue an RFP for the voyage charter of one or two U.S. or foreign flag vessel with laydays of 28-29 May 2012.
