Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Southern Region; Eastern Logistics Service Area, AAQ-510 has a requirement for the Replacement of the Air Traffic Control Tower Roof; Columbia, SC. The FAA contemplates the award of a firm-fixed price contract. This Requirement is offered to all qualified responsive concerns and offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outlined below: First Tier - eligible 8(a) business concerns, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Second Tier - eligible service-disabled veteran owned small business, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Third Tier - eligible small business concern, provided that adequate competition is received and an award can be made at a fair market price. Last Tier - full and open competition from among all responsible, responsive offers received providing award can be made at a fair market price. Adequate competition is defined as at least two (2) competitive offers received from qualified, responsible business concerns at the tier under evaluation. A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated. This solicitation is issued on Friday April 20, 2012 with all offers are due on Friday ; May 18, 2012; 4:00 p.m. (EST) To be considered for the award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). The NAICS code for the acquisition is 238160 (Roofing Contractors) Small Business size - $14 million A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday May 9, 2012; 1pm. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
