- Estimated issue date May 4, 2012 and estimated closing/response date June 4, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-70910 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0322 Nomenclature/Noun: Actuator Electro-Mechanical Unit used on the B-2 Aircraft, NSN 1680-01-383-0954, and Part Number 2048442-6-1. AMC: 4D History: The Actuator was last awarded on August 31, 2010 for 5 each to Honeywell International Inc (Cage Code 02LU7). The estimated unit price is $70,142.61. L/I 0001 - The maximum quantity is 21. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 9.2500 inches, Height 3.0000 inches, Width 6.9650 inches, Weight 5.8600 (LB). Item Function: The Thrust Control Actuator (TCA) provides rotary mechanical power to drive and accurately position the Main Engine Control (MEC) in response to electrical signals from the TCA; movement of driveshaft is related directly to Power Lever Angle (PLA). Material: Aluminum Alloy Sand Casting per AMS 4225. In accordance with CITIS, data is available however, the top drawing is proprietary. The Government does not have possession of all the data needed to manufacture the item; the data in the Government's possession is not necessarily current. The rights to use the data needed to manufacture this part from additional sources are not owned by the Government and cannot be purchased, developed, or otherwise obtained. Currently Honeywell International Inc (Cage 70210) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Honeywell International Inc (Cage 70210). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process. The proposed contract is restricted to domestic sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-3. Accordingly, foreign sources, except Canadian sources are not eligible for award.
