Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY has a requirement for Architect Engineer Services. This REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) is being utilized to identify if there are any CVE verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or any Veteran Owned Small Businesses that can provide the following services, so that a set-aside determination can be made. This is not a request for SF330s only a request for information for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The firm shall be located within a 250 mile radius of the VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY. The firm shall be listed in On-Line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) and Contractor Central Registration (CCR) under the NAICS code 541310. Prime contractor should have registered architects and engineers as members of the firm. The A/E project, 596A4-13-101 Upgrade Physical Access Control System (PACS) and Site Security, will upgrade the PACS and general site security to conform to requirements of the Physical Security Design Manual for VA Facilities. The project will include installation of a central server system and software to integrate PACS, code blue and duress/panic devices, installation of appropriate security level door entry devices including proximity readers, biometrics and key pad; and installation of CCTV, upgrade of duress/panic devices as necessary, and switch of some system components from analog to digital. Project design shall clearly show work required, phasing of work required, and instructions to construction contractor regarding how to accomplish the necessary renovations in a 24/7 medical environment taking into consideration demolition, dust control, infection control, and specialized facility requirements. Contractor will be required to prepare schematic design, design development, construction and bid documents for the project. The construction cost range for the project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
