Estimated issue date May 4, 2012 and estimated closing/response date June 4, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-71103 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0324 Nomenclature/Noun: Lift Transducer used on the A-10 Aircraft, NSN 6610-01-083-3442, and Part Number 160c145940-9 (vendor Part Number C31207-4). AMC: 3B History: The Actuator was last awarded on April 5, 2012 to Safe Flight Instrument Corporation (new manufacture) (Cage Code 83326) on contract number SPRTA1-12-C-0059 and for 43 (new/unused surplus) to Quality Aviation (Cage Code 62083) order number SPRTA1-12-M-0119. The estimated unit price is $7,711.20 for new manufacture and $3,000.00 for surplus. L/I 0001 - The quantity is 149. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 5.0000 inches, Height 1.4200 inches, Width 1.7600 inches, Weight 1.0000 (LB). Other Dimensions: Mounting Plate: 2.42 inches long, 2.76 inches wide. Item Function: The Lift Transducer is a sensing mechanism. The transducer vane protrudes into the air stream under the leading edge of the wing. Air pressure on the vane moves the armature in the lift transducer, producing electrical signals for fit instruments. Material: Metal Alloy and electrical wiring. This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source specified on a source control drawing, 160C145940-9, Cage 77751. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge is not available to permit acquisition from other sources. Qualification testing of another part or use of a second source part in the intended applicable is not possible. Currently Safe Flight Instrument Corporation (Cage 83326) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. New and Unused Government Surplus will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Safe Flight Instrument Corporation (Cage 83326). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process.
