Description
THIS IS A SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only publication. A written solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quote which, if timely received must be considered by the agency. The solicitation number M67001-12-Q-0150 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56 and DCN 20100413. This solicitation is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333210. The Marine Corps Installations East Contracting Department, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina 28547 has a requirement for: CLIN 0001 HENDRICK NP4 3200 COMPUTERIZED PANEL SAW, MODEL NPR 3200R-PL/G Salient Characteristics Length of Cut: 126 - Adjustable from 0 to 126  Max. Pusher Stroke: 126  Dept of Cut: 4  Automatic blade height adjustment according to material thickness. Saw protrusion height is 4 ½  Main Saw motor: 20 HP, 230VAC, 3 PH, 4 Pole Main Blade: 16  diameter x 1  bore. Drive slots are used to provide maximum power. 300- 1800 RPM, variable by AC inverter using a remote dial on the operation console. Saw Carriage Speed: 0 to 4000 inches per minute variable by AC servo using precision rack and pinion. Return stroke is a fixed high speed and is encoded to minimize stroke and cycle time. Pusher Fence Speed: 0 to 3000 inches per minute via AC closed loop servo and precision rack and pinion drive. Material Indexing/ Grippers: 7 Pneumatic grippers with 4  for pulling heavy sheets onto the rear table for processing and security holding material. Solid aluminum plates between each gripper to allow cross cutting of narrow strips, tube and rod. Material Hold-Down: Full-length pneumatic pressure beam utilizing a ˜split beam  design. Pressure beam œholding  pressure will be fully adjustable. All beams will have a sponge rubber mounted on the bottom side. Material side Aligner: Encoded side aligner; fully automatic 50  stroke. Rear Table: Heavy-duty welded table frames and solid phenolic table surface covering the entire black bed. The solid back table allows for the cutting of small parts and thin strips. Front Tables: One fixed and two moveable tables “ all with air floatation and phenolic tabletop surfaces. All tables 24  wide x 48  long. A standard deviation of 5% shall be accepted on table dimensions. Controller: Touch screen controller with large 8.4  TFT display with 64K color and 640 x 480 resolution. Controller provides onscreen diagnostic. A standard deviation of 5% shall be accepted on size of touch screen and resolution. Regulators: Front mounted individual pressure regulator, pressure beam and material side aligner Blade change: The panel saw ™s blade change shall not require any wrenches. This machine shall be Pneumatic. Safety Features : oSafety light curtains across the front of the machine to prevent intrusion of the cutting area. oSafety cages around back perimeter of machine to prevent intrusion of the moving pusher. oFront and rear emergency stop pull cables, safety bar mounted on the front of the pressure beam and emergency stop switches located in operational areas. oSaw blade cover has an interlock system that will not allow access to the blade while it is running. oSafety light curtains oFront pull cable stop & safety shield Dust collection connections: Four (4) 6  outlets for maximum airflow. Connectivity: The contractor shall ensure the ability to dial-in to the machine and assess deficiencies, correct any parameters and reinstall the operating software. Set up Blade: Included Installation and training: The contractor shall provide onsite installation and training by a factory trained employee. Training shall be accomplished 2-4 hours once installation is completed. Approximately three (3) civilians and two (2) Marines will be trained on the new panel saw. The contractor shall provide remote dial-in support with the panel saw controller P-3 will provide an outside/internet cable to the machine's computer (per S-6 request). Power Requirement s: Preservation, Packaging and Packing (PP&P) warehouse is running with 208 Voltage. 208 voltage is the preferred voltage but 230 voltage will be an acceptable substitute. Warranty: One year parts and labor warranty. All warranty parts are sent UPS ground free of charge. Product brand names and model numbers are supplied for reference only. Government will accept any equal product meeting the stated salient characteristics for each listed CLIN. The Government will award the contract to the quoter who represents the lowest price technically acceptable.
