- QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FORM DRAFT PWS RFI This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only and in no way obligates the Government in an award of any contract. Any information submitted in response to this RFI is strictly voluntary. This RFI is issued for the purpose of determining market interest, feasibility, and capability of sources. There is no solicitation package available. DLA Document Services HQ seeks to identify qualified sources from Industry for the acquisition of Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs with the capacity to copy, print, and scan), print shop equipment, and worldwide logistical support services for Shipboard Multipurpose Copier Program (SMCP). Industry respondents may provide industry best practices and alternatives. The SMCP requires Class I, Class IC, II, III, IIIC, IV, MFDs with network capability and related services and supplies. SMCP also requires three different classes of print shop equipment consisting of a Production Color Printer (PC), A Production Black and White Printer (PBW), and a Production Scanner (PS). The service support for SMCP necessitates a comprehensive logistic support program that provides a worldwide organizational network for CONUS and OCONUS requirements. The requisite service support entails the following: • Proper installation of equipment • Preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment • Non-scheduled / repair maintenance of new and current equipment • Part support involving availability, replacement, repairing and returning of unique tool and tool kits, individual parts, repair parts and consumable supplies for the entire equipment lifecycle • Training of government technicians for the capability to perform required maintenance and repairs to equipment • 24 hours toll free telephone support • Ship Rider support services • Warranty support and maintenance agreements • Device removal at the end of the their life cycle Services shall be performed throughout CONUS and OCONUS. The required MFD and print shop equipment is for use on surface and sub-surface vessels of the US Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), afloat elements of U.S. Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) and other deployable units of the US Government. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 333315. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent with costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. It is requested respondents submit recommendations for order processes that will support current DOD ordering practices.
