- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number M00681-12-T-0059 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-55 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, current to DPN 20120224. The North American Classification System Code is 333319 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Any quotations received from concerns other than small businesses will not be considered for award. The Food Service Office of Camp Pendleton California has a requirement for a scullery and a food waste collecting system to include removal of current dish machine and waste collecting system. SEE ITEM DESCRIPTION BELOW. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the offerer that represents the best value. The following factors will be considered when determining the best value: adherence to the salient characteristics, price, and delivery terms. ITEM DESCRIPTION TO INCLUDE QUANTITY AND SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: Manufacturer s Brand Name, is for descriptive and informational purposes only to reflect the features essential to the minimum needs of the government. CLIN 0001 STERO DISH MACHINE QTY 1 STPCW-ER-20 Salient Characteristics 1.Unload Section with a 24 Extended Vent Cowl 24 Extended Vent Cowl, a Mars Air Door, inter-wired so the air door comes on when the conveyor belt is in operation to facilitate the drying of dishware to prevent dishes being stored wet to prevent sanitation issues. 2.Dual rinse tank technology achieves the perfect balance of productivity and water savings. High volume performance and low water consumption with a two-stage auxiliary rinse system. 98 gal. /hr. maximum final rinse consumption 3.An Outboard Scrap Catchment This allows the scrap catchment to be emptied while the machine is in operation 4.Stainless Steel Steam Coil Tank Steam coils allow the condensed steam to be returned to the steam generator, a decided advantage when there is a question of purity of steam. A thermostat controls a steam solenoid valve and maintains the correct temperature. A steam trap is mounted on the steam return line. 5.Door Safety Switches Safety issue to prevent scalding in the event of accidental opening of the doors while machine is in operation 6.Variable Conveyor Speed The conveyor drive shall be a variable speed unit capable of adjustment from 2 to 12 feet per minute and shall be equipped with a reversing switch so the machine can be reversed in the event of jamming 7.Stainless Steel Top Mounted Circuit Breaker Panel Each motor is protected by an individual circuit breaker. The pre-wiring of the machine terminates here for a single point connection, and one three- wire service is sufficient for connecting the electrical service. This is required because it will ensure that the warewashing system is wired correctly and that any electrical motor or element failure shall not shut the machine down. In the event a motor failure, the breaker to that motor can be shut off and the machine can still be utilized until motor is fixed or replaced 8.Automatic Fill with Water Level Control Automatically fills each tank and maintains water level by a stainless steel float system and on an independent basis. This is required due to the evaporation of the water in the tanks to ensure proper tank water levels. In addition, a separate control is provided with a lockout circuit, which will prevent the operation of the pumps until the tanks have been filled. 9.Cold Water Aquastat Cleaner dishware by food proteins are not baked onto the ware due to excessive heat 10.Pumps and Motors The motor shall have an easily removable front inspection plate and be self-draining. The extended shafts reduce the amount of heat absorbed by the motor from the heated wash and rinse tanks resulting in a longer life span of the motor. 11.Final Rinse Arms Final rinse arms are mounted above and below the ware. The final rinse is activated only when ware is in the final rinse section by a rinse rake. Belt movement does not control rinse water use. The expended final rinse water is piped directly to the power rinse tank, and then piped to the power scrapper tank for reuse, bypassing the power wash tank completely. This ensures that the wash detergent is not diluted. 12. Automatic Energy Saving Shutdown Keeps tank temperatures at the proper temperatures while shutting off the pump motors if machine is not in operation, reducing wear and tear on the motors. 13.Electric Features All wiring shall be numbered and color-coded for ease of troubleshooting -REMOVE OLD DISH MACHINE AND TAKE TO BACK DOCK AREA FOR REMOVAL BY GOVERNMENT. -UNCRATE AND SET NEW MACHINE IN PLACE AT MH 2403. -CONNECT ALL UTILIES (WATER, ELECTRICAL) AND ENSURE MACHINE IS WORKING PER MANUFACTURER S SPECIFICATIONS.
