- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to enter into sole source negotiations for Repair of Repairable support for the AH-1Z and UH-1Y Optimized Top Owl Harmonization Bench Collimator 25PTS, part number BUCLL00H1003. The anticipated award will be made to Thales Avionics Group, located in France. Thales Avionics Group is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Harmonization Bench Collimator and they hold the proprietary rights to the data necessary to provide the proper repairs and alignment. NAVAIR intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, through the aforementioned modification to the existing contract. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
