- On or about 30 April 2012, this office will issue an Invitation for Bid for Repair of Emergency Spillway Access Roads and Flood Control Structure Roads and drains at Fort Peck, Montana. The solicitation will close on or about 30 May 2012. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A site visit date has been scheduled for 16 May 2012. Contractors are strongly recommended to attend the site visit. Contractors are to meet at 2:00 pm outside the Ft Peck Administration Building. There will be a project site walk-thru followed by a one (1) hour technical presentation. Any questions that arise during the walk-through may be addressed via email within 24 hours to the contact outlined below. The sign in sheet and all questions from the site visit will be addressed in an amendment to the solicitation. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The Omaha District, US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified members of the Small Businesses Community to complete the following work: On or around 30 April, the Omaha District Corps of Engineers will advertise an Invitation For Bid to Repair the Emergency Spillway, and Flood Control Structure (Flat Lake Rd) Access Roads, Parking Lots and Drains. Work includes removal / disposal of existing roadway material, and replacement with new base course and asphalt pavement. Work also includes removal and replacement of roadway drainage systems, and excavation of / repair of 76 spillway vent pipes that support the Emergency Spillway sub-drain system. Confined space criteria may be a consideration. NAICS Code: 237310 Please note: Other contractors may be performing work simultaneously in the same general vicinity of the gate work. Contractors will be required to coordinate with other contractors and dam personnel. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendars days after notice to proceed and complete the work no later than 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
