- Description
- This is a source sought notice to identify potential sources of supply for Global Positioning System (GPS) Repeaters required by the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard. The systems described by this notice will be used by the Coast Guard's aviation fleet and will serve to test/troubleshoot the Coast Guard's Embedded Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation System (EGI) at the Aviation Logistics Center, USCG Air Stations and USCG Aviation Technical Training Centers in the United States. The EGI system is manufactured by Honeywell, Inc. The Coast Guard requires the following technical capabilities: L1/L2 GPS linking signal capabilities required. Receive Antenna required is passive. Receive Antenna mount required is pole mount Transmit Antenna required is active. Transmit Antenna mount required is swivel mount. Surge Protector required RF 100 feet coax, C240 or equivalent cable required RF connector must be compatible with amplifier and antennas Required electrical specifications: L1 must meet 1574.42 + 15MHz Power requirements are 110VAC Input / Output impedance 50 ohms SWR all ports input 2:1 SWR all ports output 2:1 Must have gain (typical) 0-55dB Digital output level displayed in decibels Must have Noise figure <3 db Operating temperature -40 to +85C Limitations and Constraints: Require all weather antenna or environmentally sealed antenna Require all parts supplied in Kit Form. Must meet National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) regulation and procedures federal radio frequency FCC rules and regulations.
