Description
Statement of Work Description: This is a Small Business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC, is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of small businesses including HUBZone, 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Firms, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Woman-Owned eligible to compete under NAICS 811219 with a Size Standard of $19.0 Million for a Service Agreement on FPLC, HPLC, and Typhoon Instruments. This contract shall provide preventive maintenance and repairs including all necessary services, parts, labor, travel, and qualified technical personnel as per the attached Statement of Work for the 26 instruments listed in the attachment. This is to be a Firm-Fixed Price Contract for a one (1) year period. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide the following: (a) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, business classification/size, and DUNS number. (b) Capability statement that demonstrates your experience, skills, and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail so that the Government can determine whether your firm can meet the requirements. (c) References. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received no later than 3:00 pm edt on April 17, 2012 to the following address: USPS: NIEHS - Attn: Darren Gann P.O. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in Federal Business Opportunities. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Confidentiality. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response.
