Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small disadvantage, or service disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS 485510 (size standard of $7 million). Responses to this synopsis is for market research and will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Fedbizopps website. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The VA Healthcare System in VISN 22 needs to have continuous transportation and Courier Services for VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073, to transport VA patients, laboratory specimens, medical instruments, supplies, records, and mail to and from the following routes: Route 1: Between Bakersfield, CA and West LA Medical Center, Route 2: Between Santa Maria, CA and West LA VA Medical Center. Large buses must have a wheelchair lift or ramp, under bus storage and equipped with a restroom and Wi-Fi. The buses must be able to accommodate 4 wheelchairs stations and at least 35 ambulatory seats. The Contractor shall provide all vehicles, gasoline, insurance, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and directional materials to meet the Transportation/Courier requirement. The route will consist of one daily round trip transportation from Santa Maria to West LA 6:45am to 7:30pm and Bakersfield to Sepulveda 7:15am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, not including federal holidays. In between, the Santa Maria bus will become a shuttle between WLA to Sepulveda campuses. The Bakersfield bus will become a shuttle between Sepulveda WLA campuses and the downtown clinic. The wheelchair stations will be located in the back or middle of the bus, consisting of the 4 point tie down two on the front frame and two on the back frame and lap and shoulder straps. Ambulatory seating will be facing forward with two seats on each side of the middle aisle. Each ambulatory seat will be equipped with safety belts. Response to this notice should include company, name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions: (1) Is your business small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantage business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (4) Is your firm a certified "Hubzone" firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed, mailed or faxed to the attention of Sulanie Cole, Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Agency (NCO/SVCS), 4811 Airport Plaza Drive, Suite 600, Long Beach, CA 90822. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
