Description

Ku RORO Communications Kit Specifications The Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command Specialized Contracting Branch (HQ AMC/A7KQ) intends to issue a sole source award to ViaSat, Inc. The award is to provide one Roll On, Roll Off Ku Communication Kit for C-17 aircraft, with accompanying outdoor ground antenna set and engineering support. The kit must be interoperable with fielded equipment and certified safe to fly. The government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253(c)(1). This is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation packages are not available. Responses received in relation to this notice will be reviewed; however, ultimate determination regarding this sole source procurement requirement rests with the Contracting Officer. Responses must be received by 16 April 2012, 0800 CST.
