- Under a 100% small business set-aside, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, 700 Robbins Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19111 is seeking sources on behalf of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, (BUMED) for the provision of services to support a BUMED wounded warrior reintegration and health care education program for Wounded, Ill and Injured (WII) Sailors and Marines interested in healthcare careers. Services include the following: proactive recruitment and screening of eligible wounded warriors in the care of Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs); providing career mentoring, tutoring, and support to wounded warriors while they train as a healthcare professional; assisting with application and placement with the goal to increase the successful transition from active duty warrior to civilian healthcare professional. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 15. The award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Release of the Request for Proposals [RFP] will be via the internet. Interested parties may download the RFP upon its issuance to the following website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring of the aforementioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The applicable North American Industry Classification System [NAICS] code is 541611. The anticipated performance period for this procurement will be 11 Sept 2012 “ 10 June 2013; following the nine-month base period of performance, two 1-year options will be included, resulting in a performance end date of 10 Jun 2015 [if the 2 one-year options are exercised]. Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation upon its release, which is anticipated to be released no earlier than 01 May 2012. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration [CCR] database in order to be considered for award.
