Description

Sources Sought Notice The Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 (VISN 6) Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (hereto after referred to as the Network) is seeking Mammography Reporting System (MRS) to assist VHA providers with managing our Women Veteran population. Women veterans require gender-specific services such as breast cancer screening (mammography), cervical cancer screening (Pap smears) and menopause management (including bone density testing for osteoporosis). A MRS software tracking system is needed that can interface to VISTA Health Level 7 (HL7), CPRS and Voice Recognition / Power Scribe version 5, for dictation to allow VHA providers to have access to mammography results and to ensure appropriate follow-up and treatment, thereby improving patient safety and minimizing risk of "missed" results. The MRS will be deployed/installed at five facilities in our Network (VAMC Durham NC, Fayetteville NC, Salisbury NC, Richmond VA and Hampton VA). The MRS will need to have to capacity to provide mammography services for the other VA Medical Centers in our Network and affiliated outpatient clinics. The MRS will also provide tracking for those mammograms that are performed by a mobile unit at later date. The MRS shall be deployed through a single central data base server solution and link/interface to independent Vista Servers at each facility. The central data base server will be set up in Durham NC with the VA OI&T staff responsible for set-up of the server. Basic Requirements: -MRS application, software and server. -The MRS system must interface to VISTA Health Level 7 (HL7) Interface Specifications. -Must interface with Nuance, Power Scribe version 5 Voice Recognition for dictation. -Must interface with Hologic digital reading workstation and automatically synchronize with MRS application to display patient breast history. -Ability to receive basic patient and procedure information for other information systems via an HL7 interface which reduces duplicating demographic entries and reporting functions. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for informational and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. This is not a request for a competitive quotation. No solicitation document is available, and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit their product literature for consideration to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov.
