Description
Request for Information (RFI) VA248-12-I-1221- Suction Regulators 1. The Orlando VAMC has a requirement to obtain suction regulators for the under construction VA Medical Center at the Lake Nona Facility in Orlando, FL. 2. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses, HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to this information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 with a business size standard of 500 employees. 3. This RFI intends to determine if open market commercial vendors can provide items that meet the salient characteristics described in the line items below. 0001 - Intermittent Suction Regulator Salient Characteristics: Modes: Off/ Intermit/Continuous 0-200 mmHg regulated suction No calibration required Self-Cleaning Technology Autoclaveable 0002- High Vacuum/High Flow Continuous Suction Regulator Salient Characteristics: Modes: Off/ Regulate /LINE 0-760 mm Hg regulated suction, with FULL Line Capabilty No calibration required Self-Clearing Technology Autoclaveable 0003 - CASS Suction Regulator Salient Characteristics: low level suction (0-60 mmHg) tenacious secretion removal capability controlled suction setting Autoclaveable 0004 - MRI Suction Regulator Salient Characteristics: Continuous 0-200 mm Hg regulator with selector valve (OFF/ REG/ LINE modes) Does not require calibration Must identifying feature indicating suitability for MRI environment Autoclaveable 0005 - DISS HAND TIGHT NUT AND GLAND 0006 - DISS CANISTER ADAPTER 4. Request that vendors respond to the following questions: a. Do you carry suction regulators that meet the salient characteristics described in all of the line items: YesNo b. If no to the question in a above, can you meet for some line items. If so, which ones: YesNo If yes, which line items: c. If you can answer yes to questions a or b, please provide the manufacturer and model number, along with documentation showing it meets the salient characteristics, and identify which line each model you propose. For example: For CLIN 0001, we propose brand X, model Y. Product literature showing the ability to meet the salient characteristics is attached. d. Are you the manufacturer, or a distributor of the item. e. Are the items you carry manufactured by a small business or large business based on the NAICS code of 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. f. Is your firm any of the following socio-economic categories: 1. Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) 2. Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) 3. Section 8(a) of the small business act 4. Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) 5. Please send all responses to this RFI to: david.bremer@va.gov. The information received in response to this RFI will determine the acquisition strategy to procure the required items. 7. The Government requests that no proprietary or confidential business data be submitted in a response to this notice. However, responses that indicate the information therein is proprietary will be properly safeguarded for Government use only. Capability statements must include the name, email address, and telephone numbers of a point of contact having authority and knowledge to discuss responses with Government representatives. Capability statements in response to this market survey that do not provide sufficient information for evaluation will be considered non-responsive. 8.
