Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, Special Projects Program and Project Management Branch would like to invite contractors to an Industry Day Conference. The conference will be held at the Downtown/Old Market Embassy Suites, located at 555 South 10th Street in Omaha, NE, on 9 May 2012 (Wednesday). The Agenda is being developed, but the conference will run from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. Check-in for the event will begin at 1:00 PM. Due to capacity constraints, the Industry Day Conference is limited to two representatives per contractor. All interested attendees must pre-register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WYHQJTS prior to 4:00 pm CDT on 9 May 2012. There is no registration fee for this activity. The purpose of this conference is threefold: - To explain the program, introduce its customers, and discuss potential future acquisitions. - To provide the industry notice of upcoming acquisitions for the Special Projects Branch of Omaha District. - To offer the industry an opportunity to plan for potential future opportunities. A variety of contract types are anticipated to potentially include both CONUS and OCONUS work under, but not limited to, NAICS Codes 237120 (Oil and Gas Pipeline and Related Structures Construction), 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction), 541330 (Engineering Services), and 562910 (Remediation Services). Special Projects Branch of the Omaha District focuses on five business sectors: 1)EPA (Superfund and Technical Support) - Remediation Services 2)Inter-agency/International Support (Non-DoD Federal Agencies) - Construction, Architect - Engineer Services, and Remediation Services 3)Fuels (Defense Logistics Agency - Energy) - Construction, Architect - Engineer Services, and Remediation Services 4)Facility Systems/Repairs/Maintenance (Military Installations and other DoD Agencies) - Construction 5)Contingency (Federal Agencies with Time-Sensitive and Security, Disaster Response, Infrastructure, and Construction requirements) - Construction This event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This is not a marketing or outreach activity but an opportunity to introduce the Special Programs Branch to the Industry and improve the Industry's understanding of the Program and its potential future requirements. There will be no opportunity for vendor booth set-up. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, promise to contract, or commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Army will not assume responsibility for costs incurred by attendees or for travel expenses for marketing efforts.
