Classification Code: H-QUALITY CONTROL, TESTING & INSPECTION NAICS CODE- 237110 WATER AND SEWER LINE AND RELATED Contracting Office Information: Department Of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 3 130 W. Kingsbridge Road Rm. 9b16 Bronx NY 10468 Synopsis: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO SOLICIT SMALL BUSINESSES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROCUREMENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking request for quotes from qualified firms capable of 300,000 GALLON WATER TANK TESTING AND INSPECTION LOCATED AT THE NORTHPORT VAMC. Vendor will be responsible for: a)Contractor shall provide Service as described herein if requested by Purchaser. b)Work shall not proceed when the ambient temperature is below 35 degrees Fahrenheit, and/or sustained wind velocity 15 miles per hour or above, and/or any rainfall or precipitation which would interfere with the work being performed safely. c)Service shall be performed in a professional manner in accordance with industry standard best practices. d)Contractor shall perform a comprehensive interior inspection of the tank in accordance with AWWA M42 Manual of Water Supply Practices "Steel Water-Storage Tanks" as applicable. e)All equipment introduced into the water shall be dedicated for potable water use only and must be disinfected in accordance with AWWA C652 Section 5 standard and local codes. f)Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, insurance, training and certifications to complete the proposed work. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 237110. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email or fax) and must be received not later than April 13, 2012. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, (a capabilities statement), DUNS number, address, point of contact. Please respond based on the attached statement of work under the RFQ announcement. If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be CERTIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registry (CCR) (see internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and received not later than April 13, 2012 at 10:00AM. A solicitation will immediately follow this announcement. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
