- Request Response from: 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned, HUBZone, and Small Businesses. These projects include repairs to damaged portions of flood protection projects in Wilkes-Barre, Hanover, Kingston, Forty Fort, Duryea, and Plymouth in Luzerne County, PA; Danville in Montour County, PA; Lebanon in Lebanon County, PA; Scranton in Lackawanna County, PA; and Binghamton, Endicott, and Johnson City in Broome County, NY. Work would include replacement of pump station sluice gates, pump repairs, concrete floodwall repair, sheetpile installation, replacement of closure structure stop log gaskets, installation of pressure relief wells, repairing sand boils and sinkholes adjacent to the landside levee toe, drainage pipe repair and/or replacement, tree removal, rip rap placement, and fencing. Capability Statement should show experience in: Installation of pressure unseating sluice gates (42 and 84-inch gates) Disassembly and inspection of pumps, replacement of bearings. Driving steel sheetpile. Concrete: placement of new concrete and repairs to existing concrete (sawcut/patch). Installation of gate gaskets. Pressure relief well installation. Earthwork, to include excavation and backfill/compaction using geotextile, soil and granular materials. Drainage pipe repair/replacement. Rip rap placement. In-stream work. Availability and proper equipment. Other Information: We are anticipating procuring 5-10 contracts ranging in price from $200K to $3.1M with award dates in mid-August 2012. The period of performance is from 120 to 270 calendar days. Responses are due no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time 13 April 2012. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational/ market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests capability statements from 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Businesses, Women Owned and HUBZone small businesses concerning the potential project. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.
