Description
The James M. Hanley Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, located at 100 S. Clinton Street, Syracuse, NY is soliciting bids for the following: The selective removal of items in the north and south towers, encompassing a floor area of approximately 12,200 sf, including but not limited to: a. Demountable partitions b. Metal stud walls and finishes c. Hollow metal doors and frames d. Acoustical tile ceilings including the suspension system e. Carpet, carpet pad f. Vinyl tile flooring g. Curtain rods, curtains, blinds and supporting hardware h. Existing miscellaneous items as noted on the selective removals plans. i. Electrical conduits and wiring j. A/V wiring k. Telephone and security wiring l. Fire alarm wiring and devices m. Sprinkler pipes n. Ducts o. Waste and water supply piping p. Plenums not labeled as "Existing remain." New work includes the construction of a new District Courtroom, jury deliberation room, Judge's robbing and conference room, holding cells, secure corridors, public waiting room and support staff space with associated general construction of finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical/lighting, security and related systems in the north tower for District Court use. As well as, a new entrance to the existing adjacent occupant space on the east side of the North tower. S upport staff space and general construction finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical/lighting, security and related systems in the south tower for District Court use. To be eligible for contract award a firm must be registered in the Central contractor Registration (CCR) database. Register via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. This requirement is 100% set aside for HUBZone businesses. For Information concerning HUBZone Certifications and SBA size standards, got to http://www.sba.gov. The estimated construction range is between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000. The solicitation will be available for download on or after 20 April 2012. The response will be due on 3:00pm, 21 May 2012. There is no information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet.
