- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with AAI Corp, Hunt Valley, MD to satisfy a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement in support of the Canadian Forces (CF) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18 program. The requirement is for (4) Transit Cases, p/n 38185-90001-1/38185-90002-1; (4) Test Program Interface Hardware (TPIH), p/n 38031-42110-10/p/n 37534-40020-10; (5) 1553 Nose Wheel Cables, p/n 37534-90152-1; and (1) spares package for the Joint Service Electronic Combat System Tester (JSECST). AAI Corporation is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the JSECTS Core Test Set and ancillary equipment. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
