- Description
- The U.S. General Services Administration announces the need renovate and upgrade the Historic Entrance Lobby at the Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, 100 N.E. Monroe Street, Peoria, Illinois 60607. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to, the replacement of the existing wood screen wall with a new laminated glass assembly, lighting upgrades, and signage. This project will also include an option for similar work in the adjacent "canteen" area. The project duration is 265 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Funds are not currently available. The estimated cost range for all work is between $400,000.00 and $600,000.00. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. This is a negotiated, firm fixed price procurement in which the award will be made to the Contractor who provides the best value to the Government. There will NOT be a public bid opening. The solicitation will be available on or about April 19, 2012; the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation. Site visits are strongly encouraged and are available by appointment only using the contact information listed in the solicitation. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as FedBizOpps(FBO). FedBizOpps is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. In order to obtain information from FedBizOpps, you will first be required to register with CCR (Central Contractor's Registration) database. You may access CCR at the following URL, www.bpn.gov. Once you register with CCR you will be required to register with FedBizOpps. You may access FedBizOpps via the following URL, www.fbo.gov. Specifications, Drawings and other related documents cannot be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors were required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be on, or about May 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm (CST), the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation.
