- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential, qualified businesses capable of performing the work. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax and email (e) DUNS number (f) Type of Business, e.g. Large, Small, Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned small business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB-Zone, Woman-Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged business, or Small Business HUB-Zone business and (g) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a Contractor for the work described below. Responses are limited to five pages. DESCRIPTION: Provide defibrillators: We are looking for defibrillators that automatically turn on in the AED mode and then can be placed in manual mode once the response team is on site. We also want the units to have pacer capabilities. The units must also be able to filter out the noise caused by CPR compressions so that the actual sinus rhythm is viewable on the devices screen. Unit must also be able to monitor EtCO2 and SpO2 at Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTHVCS) Temple. Contractor shall furnish all equipment and must be in compliance with federal standards, ANSI, OSHA, etc. It is anticipated an Industry Day will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 0900 hrs at Central Texas Veterans Health Care System, 1901 S. 1st Street, Temple, Texas 76504. The building number is Bldg 162 room A99. The Government is not obligated to nor will pay for or reimburse any cost associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced as RFP #VA-257-12-Q-0350 and will be issued within 30-45 days. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334515 (500 employees). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database located on the web at www.ccr.gov and it is desirable that all offerors complete their Representations and Certifications via (Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses or Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project shall be registered with the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registration, located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
