- Title: Y - Repairs to the Damaged POS IMU sensor. Synopsis: THIS IS A NOTICE FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID. THERE IS NO BID PACKAGE, SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PROCUREMENT COMMITMENT BY THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. RESPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR OR SUFFER ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY IMPROPERLY IDENTIFIED INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS DOING WORK UNDER NAICS Code 334511. SUBMITTALS WILL BE USED FOR MARKET SURVEY INFROMATION ONLY. Description: The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential small business sources; specifically small business, certified 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business(WOSB), certified HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. The NAICS Code is 334511 (size standard 750 Employees). Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement will be used to determine appropriate acquisition decisions for a future procurement. 1. Top housing will be removed and internal power supply stack tested. 2. Inspection of internal wiring harness. 3. If the sensor is determined to be faulty, it is boxed up and sent back to the manufacturer. 4. Repairs to the damaged sensor must meet the manufacturer's specifications and quality control standards in order for the manufacturer to continue to support the unit and guarantee the quality of the data gathered by that equipment. Qualifications statements must be received must be received by 5 April 2012, 2:00PM EST. to receive consideration.
