- This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit competitive offers. Interested persons may submit offers, and all eligible offers received prior to 12:00 PM April 5, 2012 will be considered by the Government. The NAICS code is 339112 and the size standard is 500 Employees. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-57. The following will be considered in determining if the item offered is an acceptable "equal." a. Must have features consistent with the brand name model. b. Must be able to accommodate wheelchair bound patients c. Must be compatible and interchangeable with the present Humphrey 750 Visual Field Analyzer. d. Must be able to merge the existing database of the current system with the database of the new instrument Vendors quoting on "equal" products are required to provide documentation showing the equal product can be seamlessly integrated with the above Siemens control system. It must also show that Siemens will allow the integration.
