Description
VETERANS AFFAIRS SEEKING OFFICE SPACE The Department of Veterans Affairs desires to lease 4,297 rentable square feet in El Paso, TX for use as a Health Care for Homeless Veterans Office. Net usable space must yield 3,438 square feet available for use by the tenant for personnel, furnishings, and equipment. The space must be handicap and public transportation accessible, ADA compliant and can be provided by an existing building or new construction. On-site parking for 15 vehicles is required; 1 space must be designated as Disabled/Handicapped. The lease will be a full service lease with a one (1) year base term and four (4), one (1) year renewal option periods. The property must be no more than five (5) miles from 5001 N. Piedras St, El Paso, TX 79930. A Market Survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by VA personnel. Interested offerors must submit the following to Ms. Holloman at Jenelle.Holloman@va.gov no later than 12:00pm MST on 4/9/2012: "Name and address of the proposed property "Proof of ownership "Pictures "Map/proof the proposed property is within the delineated area. Please note: The Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as Amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals. A solicitation for offers will be issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs at a later date. All interested parties will submit a request for the solicitation in writing to the attention of Ms. Holloman at the above address. Potential offerors shall describe the property. A site investigation of all properties will be conducted. Complete access of all properties will be required at the time of the site investigation. The VA will not enter into any sublease or ground lease. All offerors that want the VA to enter into a sublease or ground lease will not be considered.
