Description

The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System, Biloxi, MS, VISN 16, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), intends to negotiate a sole source Interim (bridge) purchase order with Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Florida, LLC for ambulance services to eligible beneficiaries for the Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), Pensacola, FL and surrounding VA clinics and contracted facilities in the Florida Panhandle area. NAICS Code 621910 applies and the Size Standard is $7 million. The Period of Performance will be for a base of three (3) months 4/1/2012-6/30/2012 and three (3) one-month options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or a request for offerors. No solicitation package is available at this time. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice (VA-256-12-Q-0752) must show clear and convincing evidence that a prospective offeror can fulfill the requirements of this solicitation and that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties should submit a capability statement to the Contracting Officer within one calendar day of the date of this notice. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Contractors must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for award. Information on CCR is available at www.ccr.gov. Please note that this is only an Interim, a long term solicitation shall be released for full and open competition in the very near future to www.fbo.gov and interested parties are asked to hold questions and responses until that time.
