- The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) anticipates award of an acquisition for NRE, manufacturing, platform systems integration, test, and CONUS/OCONUS field support services to successfully integrate a Ground Fire Acquisition System (GFAS), utilizing the Radiance Technologies, Weapons Watch-Gunfire Detection System (provided to The Boeing Company as Government Furnished Property (GFP)) onto the Army AH-64D (Apache) rotary wing aircraft. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302(a)(1). The Government intends to enter into a task order with The Boeing Company, 5000 E. McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ to support this 18 month effort. Only qualified U.S. sources may participate as either prime or subcontractors. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to the procurement is 541712. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capabilities statements or proposals received within the closing date set in this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date for actions resulting from this synopsis is 15 June, 2012. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
