- Sources Sought Notice GENERAL AND BACKGROUND INFORMATION. The Human Interface Research and Technology Laboratories at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base are an integral part of 711 HPW's military science and technology development mission. Proof of concept experiments explore many new technologies and mature ones that show significant military utility. This effort known as the Human Interface Research and Technology will cover five key technical areas: Battlespace Visualization; Battlespace Acoustics; Supervisory Control and Cognition; Applied Neuroscience and Aerospace Physiology. These capabilities are executed by numerous laboratory systems, data acquisition and control systems. 711 HPW/RH anticipates the award of one contract. The anticipated program ceiling for this acquisition is approximately $61M. The planned acquisition strategy currently anticipates that the contract will be for five years. Registration in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) will be mandatory for any contract award, see CCR website at www.ccr.gov. PROGRAM INFORMATION. This acquisition will address the Human Interface Research and Technology as outlined in the Statement of Objectives (Attachment 1), dated 6 February 2012. Respondents shall provide a Capabilities Package following the Attachment 2 format. The work for this effort will require a TOP SECRET Facility Clearance. Request all interested parties (large business, small business, academia, etc.) submit a Capabilities Package which demonstrates capabilities and expertise related to this effort. Foreign contractor participation at the prime level is not permitted.
