Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source award in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), authorized or required by statue. The Cincinnati VA Medical Center Medical Service has a requirement for a Carto III system to upgrade an existing system to allow for higher resolution. The VAMC Cincinnati already has the system software license and only this system is compatible with the existing software. The government intends to make an award to sole source this upgrade requirement to Biosense Webster of Diamond Bar, CA. The Government intends to award to only one source (Invivo Inc.) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is a proprietary system available exclusively through the manufacturer. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
