- This procurement is a Small Business Set-Aside Magnitude of Construction is $100K - $250K In accordance with FAA's Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.11 Public Announcements, the FAA Alaska Contracting Office has a requirement for upgrades to the backflow prevention devices and the sprinkler system. The Base Offer work consists of the pump room, installation of the pump and associated piping, modifications to the sprinkler piping in the Administration Wing. Option Alternate (dependent upon receipt of funds) is relocation of existing sprinkler heads and installation of new sprinkler heads along with associated piping in the Tech/Ops Wing. All work will be performed at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) Anchorage, AK. Solicitation DTFAWN-12-C-00136 is issued effective Thursday, March 29, 2012. The closing date is Friday, April 27, 2012, at 1:00pm Alaska Time. NAICS Code for the requirement is 238220 Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning Contractors. Small Business size standard is $14.0M. Request for the Solicitation, which includes the specifications and drawings may be submitted in writing or by a phone call to the Contracting Officer. Nothing will be provided electronically. To be considered for an award of this project the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base (website: www.ccr.gov) This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individual, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
