- Project Number:586-09-112 The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, VISN 16 NCO will issue on or about April 12, 2012 Invitation for Bid (IFB) VA-256-12-B-0700 for renovation of the first floor C section for use as a women's clinic. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to perform work for project 586-09-112 for the Department of Veterans Affairs, G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, in Jackson, Mississippi in accordance with the scope of work, specifications, and drawings. The project shall include but will not be limited to: demolition, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. The project work shall include demolition and reconstruction on space to house primary care women's clinic functions, as required by the project plans and specifications. All work, including final cleanup and completion of all punch list items, shall be performed within three hundred (300) calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. NAICS 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $33.5M, applies to this procurement. The procurement is set-aside to qualified Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under public law 109-461. In order for a firm to be considered, the firm must be verifiable in the Center for Veterans Enterprise (VetBiz) and the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at the time of submission of their bid. Offers from other than SDVOSB firms shall not be accepted. A Site Visit/ Pre-bid Conference will be held approximately two weeks after the issuance of the solicitation. The exact date, time, and location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. The estimated dollar amount of this procurement is between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. Bidders are reminded that in accordance with FAR 52.219-27, Notice of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (NOV 2011), paragraph (d)(4), "Construction by special trade contractors, at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other service-disabled veteran-owned business concerns".
