- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make an award to a responsible offeror for the provision of a Fiber Optics Advanced Occupational Training Program for the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, New Jersey. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a base period from date of award through 12 months, and four one-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the government. The estimated quantities for the base year and each option year are 300 sessions. The Contractor shall be accredited by a state college, institution, and/or a university system. The instructor must be certified in the general field with certification in their area of expertise. Services will be performed for individuals who are in the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 29, 2012, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. All Contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The date for receipt of proposals is on/about April 27, 2012; however, this is a projected estimate and offerors should refer to Page 1 of the solicitation (Block #8) for the actual date proposals are due. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. This solicitation is set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be considered.
