- Synopsis: - Service Maintenance Contract Depot Mechanicsburg PA A requirement exists for on-call trained/certified General Machinist(s) to manufacturer parts used for rebuilding industrial machinery and Mechanical Technician(s) with experience rebuilding transmissions, gear boxes, power feed units, and mechanical powered assemblies. The various machines rebuilding will be at our Industrial Plant Equipment Division Depot Mechanicsburg maintenance facility located in Carlisle, PA. Perform machines rebuild duties during normal workdays, Monday through Thursday 0600L to 1630L, excluding federal holidays. One tool room attendant to be responsible for the operations of a government tool crib which requires issuing, receiving and maintaining specialized tools to include maintaining an ongoing inventory of their stock levels. One woodworker with knowledge of commercial packaging and shipping regulations with the skill to use hand/power tools to build wooden pallets and shipping crates. This will be a Firm Fixed-Price Requirements Contract with a base year and four (4) one (1) year options. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The government reserves the rights not to exercise option years. The intended contract can be terminated due to poor performance or failure to perform. Solicitation will be solicited as 100% small business set aside, full and open with the exclusion of sources. All contractual requirements shall be on an as-needed basis. The performance start and completion date will be indicated in each Delivery Order. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, technically acceptability and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation issue date is April 10, 2012. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Intranet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.dla.mil/RFP to obtain a copy of the solicitation. Choose the RFP you wish to download. SPECIAL NOTES: Travel will not be paid for occupants traveling outside the work area to and from work when work is scheduled at the Navy Maintenance Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA site. The majority of the work will be at the Navy Maintenance Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA, but travel may be required at other locations.
