- DESCRIPTION: This is a Synopsis for Pre-commercial thinning, Planting, Pruning, Manual tree fertilization, Hand piling of slash and other similar activities. The USFS will be utilizing a Small Business Set-Aside and the solicitation will be prepared in accordance of FAR Parts 12 and 15. This will be procured as a five year multiple award IDIQ for Commercial Services. The intent for this acquisition is to place as many as 8 IDIQ contracts to provide all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for the previously mentioned services. These services will be utilized by the following Region 6 forests: Gifford Pinchot, Mt. Hood, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, Olympic, Okanogan-Wenatchee, Colville and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Contractors will be required to submit a proposal based on evaluation criteria listed in the Solicitation package. Evaluation criteria will include the following four factors: Relevant Past Performance, Worker Safety and Protection, Experience and Price. The Solicitation will be posted on April 10, 2012 and the anticipated award date for this procurement will be on or around May 24, 2012.
