- This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for establishment of a School at Work program for VA employees. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Indianapolis, IN is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is for establishment of a School at Work program at the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC, Indianapolis, Indiana. Contractor shall furnish all materials, curriculum and guidance necessary to assist VA employees gain knowledge in basic skills such as reading, writing, math, communications, and computer skills, plus the introduction to patient satisfaction/safety and medical terminology. The curriculum must be written for Health Care. These courses will combine both education and career planning with an on-line and DVD environment. The courses will be held at the Indianapolis VA Medical Center and run by a VA employee. Estimated solicitation date is on or around April 15, 2012 with an estimated award date of June 1, 2012. The intended contract base period is anticipated to be one base year with four 1-year options, to be exercised at the government ™s discretion.
