- Solicitation Notice - This notice supersedes all previous notices related to this solicitation. Solicitation Number SAQMMA-12-R-0012 is released on March 23, 2012 The Department of State (DOS), United States (US) Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq located in the International Zone requires a contractor to provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services to all systems, facilities and others as necessary as described in the Request For Proposals. This is a follow-on contract. In addition, the contract requirements may include O&M services for other future U.S. Government sites within the country of Iraq as listed -- but not limited to -- the below regional area sites: • Erbil and associated sites, Kirkuk, and Tikrit in the northern region; • Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, Baghdad International Airport; Shield; Besmayah; Union III (International Zone), Taji, Prosperity (International Zone) in the central region; • Basrah, and Umm Qasr in the southern region This is an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, as defined in FAR 16.504 (Indefinite-Quantity Contracts), for non-commercial items. Contract types for the individual task orders will fall under one or more of the following, depending on the type, complexity, and urgency of the task order requirement: fixed-price, cost-plus fixed fee, labor-hour, and/or time-and-materials. If a task order will be performance-based, its requirements will be conveyed and administered at the task order level. This contract is for one base year and four option years. Award is scheduled for on or about August 1, 2012, and contract performance, and contract perfomance is to commence on or November 1, 2012 following a 90-day transition period. Proposals are due as directed not later than 4:00 p.m. EDT, May 18, 2012. Questions may be submitted as directed until 4:00 p.m. EDT, May 7, 2012. There is a site survey of the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad April 2-4, 2012 for companies who requested attendance and met the minimum requirements. PLEASE BE ADVISED THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY COST AND/OR RISKS INCURRED BY ANY VENDOR DECIDING TO RESPOND TO THIS SOLICITATION.
